Pembroke Centre Wilton RDA
The Pembroke Centre has a long and happy tradition of providing riding for people of all ages who live with a wide range of disabilities.
Riding is not for everyone but many more people can benefit from time spent with ponies and horses. The calm environment, the safe space, the magical woodlands are features of the Pembroke Centre that can help people living with long term health issues, anxiety, depression, dementia or PTSD.
This is why they are developing Tea with a pony.
Participants can enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake with our friendly volunteers. They can view our horses and ponies in their fields, enjoy our gardens or take a gentle walk through the woods. For those who would like to, there will be an opportunity to get close to a pony, help with grooming, lead a pony around an indoor arena or simply give a pony a hug.
Just being in the presence of ponies combined with the smell of leather in the tack room can bring back fond and happy memories.
The sessions will run on Friday afternoons from 1:30pm for about an hour and a half. We ask for a donation of £5 per participant.
If you think this would be of interest please contact the centre on 01722 744822 or email rdawilton@gmail.com to book a session.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Pembroke Centre.
